Our team was tasked with collaborating with Facebook stakeholders to develop a desktop site following Facebook's established design system.
Challenge:
1). How can we assist users in locating the specific feature they're seeking and aid them in discovering new ones?
2). We need to showcase events, workshops, and consultations in various dates and languages.

Goal:
Construct a desktop website with a user-friendly flow while ensuring adherence to Facebook's design system for consistent aesthetics.
Construct a desktop website with a user-friendly flow while ensuring adherence to Facebook's design system for consistent aesthetics.
To start my design process, I ask myself some questions. WWhat are the constraints? How can I improve users to find something impactful? How can I inspire user to discover and use these features? What are the obstacles here?
Research
Understand User’s Needs
I started the research with interview the stakeholders and try to get more insight of how the userflow will be. The answer was pretty simple, inspire the user and easy for them to find what they want. So I simply divided users intentions into two:
1. User don’t know what they need and browse around.
2. User trying to find a specific workshop/ consultation.
3. User trying to browse specific topic but wondering.

Define & Ideation
User Tasks:
Before I create a complete user flow, I start with a user task to revamp the user tasks.

With the user tasks being lay down, I was able to connect all the puzzles into user flows. These are the anchor for the product.

Delivery
I had to adhere to a particular module and design system to develop the product. Given our reliance on their module, I encountered various constraints and had to employ specific strategies during the creative process.

I integrated the module and constructed the prototype based on the user-flow. I included notes outlining constraints for the team's review.

Landing Page
The menu and search options at the top facilitate an easy start for returning users. Below the menu, you'll find:
- A hero image with a brief introduction to Facebook Social Impact.
- Three distinct learning tracks (please note that the Storytelling track leads to an external site).
- 'My Events' for users to explore upcoming events.
- Highlights in various topics.
- Support resources for in-depth learning and exploration.

Workshops & 1:1 Consultations
The workshops encompass four languages, and each of these pages will feature a comprehensive list of the available workshops in these languages. For individual workshop sign-up pages (initially 17 of them, later scaled to accommodate 30), they are organized chronologically by date and time.
The 1:1 Consultations section comprises a total of 250 consultations, offered in four languages, across six different topics, each accompanied by 28 thumbnails.

All events and my events
Users have the option to explore all events, including workshops and consultations. They can refine their search using filters or review the events they've already enrolled in.

What I learned and can be improved
- Collaborating with a large company like this demands patience and effective communication.
- To enhance user engagement, I can integrate impactful storytelling elements and user testimonials to illustrate the positive impact of these programs.
- However, due to the strategy being primarily developed at a higher level, I had limited access to user data and engagement tracking resources.
