Ai Typography Project

Ai typography is an experimental project that uses Artificial intelligence to create Typography. I asked Ai to illustrate beautiful birds in the forest singing the Typography. I used Disco Diffusion to develop a model that generate English letters from A to Z.

I started with some easy prompts to get an idea of how Ai understood Typography and my instructions. Such as:

"A plan white background with a beautiful illustration of a English letter A, decorated with vivid color birds.", "Highly Detailed, Intricate Detail, Photorealistic, Lifelike, Realism, 8k Resolution, Volumetric Lighting, Global Illumination, Specular Highlights"...

Here’s the first beta:

So I have to give Ai some more restrictions to reach my goal. I applied an initial image with a “A” in ariel and ask Ai to generate it by using the same prompt. Ariel is a digital type that was invented specifically for the digital world and its easy-to-read feature can be suited for this project.

Here’s the second beta result:

See there’s only a tiny bird growing beside my initial image. I will have to do more communication to make it grow as I wished.

The third beta:

Ok... here are some more things, it seems like ai is having a hard time growing things in the dark space. I changed the initial image to a gray one.

We are getting so close, all I have to do is micro twist the parameter and finding the style I want.

Finally, I reached an illustrated pencil stroke with detailed decorations style. Below is the final result with all the letters from A to Z. It was an amazing journey to communicate with the Ai. It took me 2 days to complete all the testing and generating.
